Assam: Son Kills Father In Midst Of Ongoing Family Feud

GUWAHATI : On 28th of December, a heinous case of patricide came to light at Nazira in Assam. According to sources, both father and the son were going through a prolonged quarrel related to some family matter.

As a result , the son killed his father with a heavy weapon. The episode took place in Sivasagar district's Geleki, located in Nazira. The deceased has been identified as Pradip Duwarah and the accused as Ananta Duwarah.

The local police rushed to the spot on receiving the information and apprehended the accused for killing his father. Meanwhile, a FIR has been lodged in the police station under several IPC sections.

Recently, a revelation was made by the police where a boy from Assam's Tinsukia district murdered a man in Southwest Delhi. The deceased and the accused were flatmates and the episode occurred after the duo got into a heated argument.

The accused has been identified as Binay Lama, and killed the man under the influence of alcohol. As per the latest report, Binay came back to Assam after the incident took place. After a series of investigations, police nabbed the accused from Hawai Pather, in Assam's Tinsukia district.

The arrest was done based on the post mortem reported, which declared the cause of death as Asphyxia. On 12th of December, a person named Resham Kumar was admitted in the Safdarjung Hospital. However, was declared brought dead by the medical authorities.

During enquiry, scrapping bruises and marks were spotted in the face and neck of the deceased's body. The investigation began when an FIR was filed, suspecting the case to be a murder. Assam has recorded several cases of crimes and robbery this year. The administration is continuously trying to eradicate these issues, however, the list is only increasing with each passing day.
