Assam Sourav Award: Delight over honour given to Dr Sashidhar Phukan
Dr Sashidhar Phukan, who was born in Bokota Kukurasuwa Gaon of the Sivasagar district, has been selected for the Assam Sourav Award in the Healthcare and Public Services sector.

DEMOW: Dr Sashidhar Phukan, who was born in Bokota Kukurasuwa Gaon of the Sivasagar district, has been selected for the Assam Sourav Award in the Healthcare and Public Services sector.
After the news spread, there was excitement and happiness among people in the Bokota area. Dr Sashidhar Phukan is the Joint Director of Health Services in Jorhat district. He is the son of Guluk Phukan and Sunadoi Phukan.
Dr Phukan passed his HSLC from Dhitaipukhuri High School and MBBS from Silchar Medical College and Hospital. He passed his PG in ENT from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. He worked in Majuli for a long period of time.
