Assam: SSB seizes Bhutanese beer at border checkpost

KOKRAJHAR: Based on specific information, the D. Coy of the 6th Bn SSB on Saturday seized an Indian car along with 24 beer bottles at Hatisar check gate near Bhutan border at around 4.50 pm. Sources from SSB said the Bhutanese beer and car were seized in a routine check in the Bhutan- India checkpost at Datgari in Chirang district. Vishal Karmakar, Shyamal Karmakar of Dadgiri village, under Runikhata PS was apprehended along with the beer bottles. The seized items, one Ertiga car and beer bottles are of worth Rs. 9,01,560 approximately. The seized items were handed over to custom office at Hatisar near Indo- Bhutan border.
