Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission organized 'Axomi Bohagi Mela' in Tezpur

TEZPUR: Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Sonitpur district committee organized a 3-day long ‘Axomi Bohagi Mela’ which started on Monday at Collegiate Field. The Axomi Bohagi Mela was inaugurated by Tezpur MLA, Prithiraj Rava in presence of president of the Zila Parishad Dolly Surin, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Karabi Shaikia among others.

About 32 stalls of self-help groups from seven development block of the district have been set up. The Bohagi Mela will conclude on Wednesday. According to the official sources informed that the Bahagi Mela will feature various exceptional activities like race competition, music chair competition, cooking competition and other traditional games during the day and various cultural programs and traditional costume competitions will be held at night.
