Tinsukia: The All Assam Hindu Students’ Union has made an open appeal to the Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to expedite the release of pending rental payments for vehicles operating in the state’s judiciary.

Many unemployed individuals take bank loans to purchase vehicles and rent them out as a means of livelihood. However, for the past two years, the Assam government has not disbursed the monthly rental payments for these vehicles, causing severe financial distress for both vehicle owners and drivers. Mukesh Pareek, president of the central committee of the All Assam Hindu Students’ Union, and Joint Secretary Golap Dev condemned the apathetic attitude of the concerned department and urged the CM to immediately clear the outstanding dues.
