NUMALIGARH: A tragic accident occurred yesterday at the Murphulani Tea Estate in Golaghat district, under the jurisdiction of Bogijan Police Station, where a tea garden worker lost his life after falling from the factory roof.

According to sources, the deceased, identified as Babul Rautia, was engaged in roofing work at the tea factory. Around noon, while descending from the rooftop, he slipped and fell, sustaining critical injuries. He was immediately rushed to Saheed Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat for treatment. However, despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. Sources confirmed that Babul Rautia was a resident of Sangrampur Village. The tragic incident has cast a pall of grief over the tea estate community. Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
