ASSAM: Teacher Dies in Scooter-Bike Collision; One Critical

Nagaon: Late-night road accident in Nagaon’s Kathiatali area has left one dead and another seriously injured. The accident occurred near Shankardev School when a speeding motorcycle and a scooter collided head-on.

The scooter rider, identified as Ashwini Gayan, a teacher by profession, succumbed to his injuries at the spot. His sudden demise has cast a pall of gloom over the local community, where he was known as a dedicated educator.

The motorcycle rider sustained critical injuries in the crash and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for advanced medical care. Eyewitnesses reported that both vehicles were at high speed at the time of impact.

The motorcycle bore the registration number AS02AU5452, while the scooter was registered as AS02S4898. Police officials have begun an investigation into the accident, and further details are awaited.
