DOOMDOOMA: Although the Sarbananda Sonowal government provincialized the posts of venture ME School Teachers as 'tutors' in February this year, yet the teachers thus appointed are not all happy.

So the recently provincialized ME School Teachers' Association strongly demanded for provincialization of the posts of all such teachers and employees in the ensuing budget session of the State Assembly to give justice to all those who gave their services for 25-30 years without getting paid in public sector educational institutions. In the meanwhile, the teachers' body resolved to give memorandum to the MLAs and ministers of all the legislative assembly constituencies of Assam and accordingly, submitted memoranda to Sadiya MLA Balin Chetia, Doomdooma MLA Rupesh Goala (Tinsukia district), Chabua MLA Ponakon Baruah, Lahoal MLA Binod Hazarika, Barpathar (Golaghat district) MLA Biswajit Phukan.

On the other hand, the teachers' body also urged the government to announce some special economic package for the family members of those who died without getting any sort of benefits from the government and not to discriminate against students of any region on the question of uplift of infrastructure of the educational institutions.
