GUWAHATI: In a somber turn of events, the mortal remains of a software developer hailing from Guwahati, identified as Panchajanya Debpurkayastha, were found in a state of decomposition at an apartment in HRC Apartment, Vaibhav Khand, Ghaziabad. The discovery came to light on Sunday, January 7, following complaints from concerned neighbors about a persistent foul odor emanating from the premises.
Situated in the sublocality of Indirapuram in Uttar Pradesh, the apartment became the center of attention as local authorities, prompted by the neighbors' distress, investigated the source of the unpleasant smell. Shockingly, the body of the deceased was located, and initial assessments suggested that the tragic event occurred approximately a week before its discovery.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for Indirapuram, Swatantra Kumar Singh, stated that, upon examination, no visible injury marks were found on the deceased. Panchajanya Debpurkayastha, residing in the Maligaon area of Guwahati, did not leave behind any suicide note, adding to the mystery surrounding the circumstances of his demise.
