Assam: Training Camp for Assam Team’s 68th National School Games Yogasana Events Begins in Nagaon

NAGAON: A training camp for the Assam team participating in the 68th National School Games (yogasana events) commenced at Nehru Yuva Kendra based State Yoga Kendra, Nirban in Nagaon on Thursday. The camp, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam in association with Nagaon district sports office, will be concluded on December 28.

The Assam team, comprising 30 players selected from various districts, will participate in the yoga events for the under 17 and under 19 categories (both boys and girls) at the 68th National School Games, scheduled to be held in Kolhapur, Maharashtra from January 9 to 11, 2025. The camp was inaugurated by Bikash Pradhan, District Youth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Nagaon, in the presence of retired teacher Bijoy Saikia and Pallavi Deka. According to Prabhat Chandra Bora, team coordinator and Indian team coach, the selected players are undergoing rigorous training to prepare for the national-level competition.
