As per reports, the attack had resulted from the "Talibani-style punishment" that the workers were subjected to by the management of RUB brick kiln in Garomari.
Garomari police quickly reached the scene after the incident for further investigation and launched an operation to arrest the assailants.
The injured individuals have been identified as Julhas Ali and Swah Alam. Both the workers are residents of Bhatnapaiti Char under Alopati Police Station in Barpeta district and are currently under medical treatment after being rescued.
