GUWAHATI: A woman was murdered by her husband over a family dispute in North Mijikajan in Biswanath district of Assam.

As per reports, the deceased woman has been identified as Anjali Tanti. She was allegedly stabbed by her husband Mukul Tanti over some family issues.

Meanhwile, the accused has been arrested and further investigation is been carried out. The body of the deceased has been recovered and sent for post-mortem examination.

Earlier on August 5, a human skeleton was recovered from a septic tank in Assam's Nagaon district.

According to reports, the incident was recorded from the Kuthori area in Kaliabor in the district. Meanwhile, locals claim the identity of the deceased is suspected to be one Umesh Bora.

Notably, Bora has been missing for the past three months and his wife had filed a missing complaint at Bagori Police Station.

Following the complaint, police launched a probe into the matter. Local police along with the executive magistrate reached the scene and recovered the skeleton from the toilet tank.
