

Cachar: A woman police constable in Assam has been praised after she was spotted carrying her seven-month-old baby to her workplace.
The woman identified as Sachita Rani Roy, has been posted in Silchar PI Court in the Cachar district and was seen walking into her office carrying her infant.
As per reports, it has appeared that she has no maternity leave remaining with her following which she reaches the office with her baby at 10:30 am every morning and leaves after completing her day's work.
Reportedly, she had applied for leave but it was not granted to her, as a result of which, Sachita had no other options but to bring to the workplace.
The 27-year-old said that there is no one back at home to look after the baby.
"I have no one at home to take care of my baby so I am forced to bring her along with me. It gets uncomfortable at times but I have no other option," Sachita said.
Notably, her husband happens to be a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and he is posted outside of Assam.
Sachita Rani Roy, who is a resident of the Malugram area in Silchar, expressed that she is grateful to her colleagues and the police department for understanding her situation and being very accommodating.
"I do leave a little early as it gets very difficult for the baby to be with me throughout the day," she said while wearing a smile on her face.
Sachita has been applauded from all quarters for her dedication to her duties.
"I have applied for further leave but until it is approved, I will continue my duty this way," she added.
