Assam: Woman Sold By Husband In Kuwait For Rs 2 Lakh, Returns After Two Years

Guwahati: In a recent development, a case of trafficking racket has come to light after a woman accused her husband of selling her off for Rs. 2 lakhs.

The woman, who hails from the district of Tinsukia, has claimed that she was sold off by her husband and had now returned after two years.

The husband has been identified as Adaam Prema and is 32 years old.

According to the woman, her husband Prema had sold her off in Kuwait in the UAE for Rs 2 lakhs two years ago.

She has also accused her husband of being involved in a human trafficking network gang and called him a "notorious" person. She claimed that many women and children have been trafficked by her husband to different states and countries. She also alleged that Prema had even tried to sell their son.

She said, "My husband does not care if one is dead or alive, all he wants is money. He even tried to sell our son."

She added, "My husband Adaam Prema made deals for humans worth Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 and then sold them for Rs 1 lakh to different states and countries."

Notably, the woman has still not filed a complaint against her husband before the police. However, she has narrated the whole story of being trafficked by her husband before the media.
