Bokakhat: A workshop on Bihu dance and dhol playing, organized by the Numaligarh Regional Student Union, concluded on Saturday. The closing ceremony was presided over by the Regional Union’s President, Harshjyoti Bhuyan. The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mintu Gogoi, president of the All Golaghat District Student Union, General Secretary Chiranjib Bora, and Publicity Secretary Lakshyajyoti Nath. Manoj Saikia, President of the Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Student Union, was also present.

The event, coordinated by the acting general secretary of the Regional Union, Abinash Bora, featured former AASU official and current president of the Bokakhat Sub-Division Journalist Association, Bubul Dutta, as a special guest. Dutta emphasized the importance of such initiatives by student unions for the betterment of the nation. During the ceremony, a New Year calendar published by the Numaligarh Regional Student Union was unveiled by noted cultural activist and spokesperson of Morongi College, Ratneswar Moran. Moran also presented a song on the occasion. This is the first time the regional student union has published a calendar. Additionally, the event honoured renowned trainer and award-winning artiste Bipul Bora and Gitimoni Dutta with special felicitations.
