BOKO: Assam's talented wushu athlete Elina Rabha was given a warm welcome in her hometown after she won a bronze medal in the 56 kg category at the 38th National Games held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Elina defeated a Himachal Pradesh opponent in a one-sided contest to achieve a major milestone in her sporting career.

Recognizing her achievement, the Kamrup (Rural) District Wushu Association, Boko Sports Association, and Boko Press Club together organized a felicitation ceremony in a grand celebration as recognition of Elina's immense dedication and success. The felicitation ceremony brought glory to the entire community in her achievements.

Supon and Sabita Rabha, Elina's parents were recognised as well for their immense support all the journey where they have had to struggle with finances. The audience appreciated their devoted efforts into the development of her talents.

Elina's coach Subhash Goyari is beaming with pride with this achievement and greeted her on the occasion. The other key person, Sumit Rabha, Executive Member of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council and Secretary of the Boko Sports Association, donated Rs. 10,000 to Elina to further her sporting activities. The President of the Boko Sports Association, Arjun Chetry, also announced a grant of Rs. 10,000 to support her wushu career so that Elina can continue her sporting journey with adequate resources.
