Assam: Yoga Association Holds Special Meet with Bajali Yoga Body in Nagaon

NAGAON: A special meeting was held today between the Assam Yoga Association and the Bajali District Yoga Association at the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) office in Nagaon. 

The meeting aimed to facilitate a mutual exchange of ideas and discuss various aspects of yoga development in the region.

The meeting was presided over by Prabhat Chandra Bora, general secretary of the Assam Yoga Association. In his opening remarks, Bora emphasized the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being and highlighted the organization’s efforts to popularize yoga across the state.

The Bajali District Yoga Association delegation was led by Jyotish Sarma, advisor; Bhiva Kalita, secretary; Santosh Sarma, treasurer; Bimala Borkatoki, assistant secretary; and Anjana Kalita, member. The delegation shared their experiences and insights on promoting yoga in Bajali district and sought guidance from the Assam Yoga Association on how to further develop yoga activities in the region.

The meeting witnessed a fruitful exchange of ideas, with discussions focusing on various aspects of yoga development, including yoga education, training, and competition. The participants also explored ways to promote yoga among schoolchildren, youth, and adults and discussed strategies for building partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the decision to organize a yoga sports training camp at the Pathshala Harimandir from March 22 to April 5. The camp, which will be jointly organized by the Assam Yoga Association and the Bajali District Yoga Association, aims to provide training and guidance to yoga enthusiasts from across the region.
