SILAPATHAR: A tragic incident occurred in Assam's Silapathar when 22-year-old Jonmani Medak lost her life in a motorcycle accident while eloping with her long-time partner, 30-year-old Sachin Doley. The couple had been in a romantic relationship for ten years and decided to flee because their parents disapproved of their love.

The couple tried to escape on a motorcycle but met with a fatal accident in Pumi village at around 10 PM. Jonmani was pronounced dead on the spot, while Sachin received severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Dibrugarh for treatment.

Witnesses of the accident reveal that the motorbike was running at a pretty high speed during the time the accident occurred. This caused the tragic accident to occur. The local authorities have initiated an investigation surrounding the crash.

Meanwhile, on Saraswati Puja day in Nalbari, Assam, a teenage girl and her boyfriend ingested poison during the festival. The girl died while the young man is still fighting for his life in the hospital. After the incident, the girl's family accused the boy of murder and said that he had tricked her into drinking poison and that he had done it before as well.

The girl's family allege that their romantic relationship had ended, and the boy coerced her on the day of the incident. In contrast, the boy's family asserts that the couple was still together.
