JAIPUR: The renowned International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2025 kicked off in Jaipur on Saturday, honoring the achievements in cinema and digital entertainment. Among the standout winners in the OTT category was Assam’s very own Anurag Saikia, who won the 'Best Title Track' at the Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards 2025 for his lyrical composition 'Ishq Hai' from Mismatch Season 3.

Saikia, a talented composer hailing from Assam's Moran has earned himself a place in the Indian entertainment industry with his evocative music. His latest accomplishment solidifies his position as a leading figure in the world of web series and film music.

Born to Dipali Saikia and Dr. Anil Saikia, Anurag has contributed significantly to the soundscape of popular web series like Gullak (2019–), Panchayat (2020–), Mismatched (2020–), and Cheesecake (2019). His contributions to Bollywood films include Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba (2024), The Diplomat (2025), Anek (2022), Babli Bouncer (2022), Article 15 (2019), Thappad (2020), and many more.

Beyond mainstream Hindi cinema, Saikia has actively contributed to Assamese cinema, working on projects like Swargarath (2024), Yugadrashta (a short film), and Dikchow Banat Palaax (2016). As an independent music producer, his work includes the widely acclaimed tracks Va Kanamma and Kukuha under The Anurag Saikia Collective (2020). With his latest IIFA win, Anurag Saikia continues to make Assam proud, showcasing the richness of Assamese talent on a global stage.
