NEW DELHI: Devanga Bidrum Kalita from Dibrugarh has been honoured with the prestigious "Art for Hope 2025" Grantee Award by the Hyundai Motor India Foundation. The award was presented by Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India Limited, and Aditya Arya, one of the jury members, well known commercial and travel photographer, Director, trustee IPAF Mseo Camera in presence of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Culture and Tourisim on February 27, 2025 at Travancore Palace, New Delhi.

Out of 521 applicants across India, only 40 individuals and 10 institutions were selected for this recognition after scrutiny by renowned jury members of various disciplines. The "Art for Hope" grant is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Hyundai Motor India Foundation, aimed at supporting and promoting artistic talent. Devanga is to showcase his piano recital on 1st and 2nd March, 2025 at Travancore Palace, New Dehi.

Devanga is the son of Dr. Hem Chandra Kalita, Professor, Cardiology at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh and Dr. Kalpana Deka Kalita. His achievement brings pride to Assam and highlights the region’s artistic excellence on a national platform.
