Dibrugarh University is awarded the certification of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018 which means the University facilities are in conformity with International Standards.
Assam's Dibrugarh University Receives ISO Certification

GUWAHATI: The Dibrugarh University in Dibrugarh district of Assam has received valuable certification from ISO (International Organization for Standardization).

The certificate was given to the University after a thorough check and complete assessment of different sectors of the university.

The Dibrugarh University was awarded two ISO certifications and they are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018.

The ISO 9001:2015 is meant for necessity in the quality management system of any organization and ISO 50001:2018 is the certificate that specifies the necessity in view of improvement, maintenance and implementation of EnMS (Energy Management system).

According to the certification of ISO 9001:2015, the functioning of the university and all its facilities are in accordance with International-level and meets International standards. It also signifies about the energy efficiency of the university.

While speaking on the achievement the Dibrugarh University authorities express pride and happiness in receiving such status. In a statement, the University stated that it is immensely fulfilling that the University successfully achieved such standards of International competence.

In another recent achievement, the Dibrugarh University has become one of the eight institutions in India to be awarded with the GGPG (Going Global Partnerships Grant) which is a collaboration grant by the British Council.

The Dibrugarh University is a state government-owned educational institution that was established in the year 1965. It is considered as one of the premier higher education institutions in Upper Assam located in Dibrugarh.

The ISO certified University consists of teachers and students from different parts of the country and also from foreign countries as well.

The University hosts 177 affiliated educational institutions including schools and colleges that spread over 89 districts of the state and offers around 170 courses of Postgraduate (PG), Undergraduate (UG) and doctoral level programs.

Dibrugarh University has a total of 18 departments of different courses and a total of 17 centres for studies.

it may be mentioned that Dibrugarh university is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and is credited 'Grade A' by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).
