TEZPUR: Dr. Nilut Swargiary, the Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council laid the foundation stone for two important projects in the BTR region, highlighting the government's commitment to improving education and preserving cultural heritage.

The first project is the construction of the Sonitpur District Bathou Thansali at Chariduar, Singlimari, and the second is the construction of a new classroom at Ansumwi Bodo High School. Under the leadership of BTC CEM Pramod Boro, the district authorities continue to focus on enhancing educational infrastructure and promoting the spiritual heritage of the BTR area.

Additonally, a foundation stone laying ceremony for a new Community Hall was held at No.1 Sijouguri village in Sonitpur District, led by BTC CEM Pramod Boro, and EM Dr. Nilut Swargiary. The initiative is aimed at enhancing social cohesion and community development by providing a dedicated space for cultural activities, social gatherings, and public welfare programs.

The project is expected to play a key role in fostering unity and progress within the community. The event was seen as a significant step towards strengthening the region's social fabric and improving public services.

Meanwhile, the Sonitpur District Administration organized a ceremonial distribution of CM’s gifts at the District Commissioner’s Office, where 56 government-recognized journalists received tokens of appreciation from the Chief Minister of Assam.

The event was presided over by District Commissioner Ankur Bharali, with an inaugural address by District Information & Public Relations Officer Ankita Gogoi.
