Assistant Commissioner of Bajali Assaulted in Pathsala

PATHSALA: Three miscreants allegedly assaulted the Assistant Commissioner of Bajali, Apurba Kumar Nath on Monday. As per reports, the assault took place in Pathsala town in Barpeta district. The three persons were in a black Scorpio vehicle without registration number and with black glass, in violation of traffic rules. They allegedly misbehaved and argued with Apurba Kumar Nath who was on the way to his office when he pointed out the traffic rule violation.

In this regard, a case has been registered under Patacharkuchi Police Station. Later, Bajali police arrested two of them while one ran away from the spot. The nabbed persons have been identified as Anup Das and Nayan Das while Gopal Saha fled from the scene.
