Attempt to loot CSP of State Bank of India foiled in Darrang district

MANGALDAI: Sensation prevails in the Borjhar area under Dalgaon police station in Darrang district bordering Udalguri district following a firing incident in broad daylight on Thursday.
According to eyewitnesses, at around 11 am, three unidentified miscreants entered the local Common Services Point (CSP) of State Bank of India and at gunpoint demanded the owner of the CSP, Rahul Paul to immediately hand over all the cash. However, he offered a strong resistance and raised a hue and cry.
On hearing this, a section of traders near the CSP rushed to the spot and put up a major resistance, forcing the miscreants to open fire before fleeing away on their bike. Luckily no one was injured in the firing. Police have started an investigation.
