Audio Clip Controversy: Assam CM Advises MLA Bhuyan Not To Repeat Such Incident In Future

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has advised Bihpuria MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuyan not to repeat the same in the future.

He advised him the same while reacting to the audio clip controversy between Amiya Kumar Bhuyan and two police officers.

While speaking to the media on the incident on Sunday, the Chief Minister said, '' I came to know about the two audio clips of the MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuyan and advised him not to repeat this again in the future.''

''I have made my point clear that whatever used to happen in Assam earlier shouldn't be repeated again. If there is any issue or complaint regarding anything one can directly text me on Watsapp. I will do the needful,'' he added.

Notably, the audio clips between the MLA and two police officials which went viral on a social media website had created a stir with people questioning the behavior of the MLA.

The issue erupted when the local police department seized a boat belonging to missing tribals.

To this, the BJP MLA was heard asking the officer-in-charge at Bihpuria Police station Pushpakamal Baruah not to resort to policegiri.

He also yelled at the police officer over the phone and asked the officer not to harass the locals.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Junmoni Rabha, Sub Inspector of Police (SI) refused to entertain MLA and questioned him back -- ''Being a public representative, how could he ask the police to break rules and regulations.''

''How will you answer the Assam Government,'' she added.

Following this, the MLA in a threatening note said, ''Who are talking to'' and shouted at the official.

However, Rabha was head asking that MLA not to misbehave with her after saying that she is busy, she hang up.
