Awareness drive on COVID-19 underway in Gossaigaon town area

Gossaigaon: In a swift response to the directives of the Assam Government regarding the prevailing situation due to coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown, the sub-divisional Information and Public Relation Officer, Gossaigaon has taken initiative by making announcements through fixed loud system in the Gossaigaon town area covering all the four wards and also by mobile loud speakers in rural areas in Bodo and Assamese languages.

In view of the action taken by the Government of Assam and the Centre, the Gossaigaon Subdivisional administration has taken opinions and advice from prominent and senior citizens of Gossaigaon. The prominent and senior citizens like Ishran Narjary, retired DFO, and Padma Shri Dr Kameswar Brahma, fully appreciated and supported the extension of the lockdown. They also thanked and extended support to the subdivisional administration, police and other departments who are providing services to the needy people and working hard to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the area.
