Awareness programme on adoption held at conference hall of DC office, Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: As a part of International Month of Adoption, an awareness programme was held at the conference hall of DC office, Tinsukia on Saturday with Tinsukia DC Narsing Pawar in the chair. Organized by the District Child Protection Office and supported by State Adoption Resource Agency Assam, a good number of parents who adopted children earlier and prospective adoptive parents were present in the programme.

Farhan Uddin Choudhury, secretary of District Legal Service Authority dwelt at length on Child Adoption (Amendment) Rules 2022. The programme also witnessed an interaction with parents of adopted children and prospective adoptive parents. Earlier DCPO Rizwana Hazarika welcomed the guests. Sarfraz Haque, ADC, Uttam Duarah, President of the Child Development Committee, and Israil Nanda were among those who spoke at the event.
