Awareness programme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Yojana organized at Jamuguri

KALAIGAON: A one-day stakeholder awareness programme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Yojana was organized by National Fishery Development Board of Assam in the premises of Bapuji Bhavan at Jamuguri recently and a team of fishery owners from Kalaigaon took part in this programme along with Purna Baro, Fishery Demonstrator of Udalguri .
The meeting was inaugurated by Ashim Kr. Bora, executive officer, National Fishery Development Board of North India, and it was presided over by Chayan Acharjee, District Fishery Development Officer (DFDO) of Sonitpur. Addressing the fishery owners, Bijay Kumar, chairman of National Fishery Development Board, said that fishery owners should know the scientific method of fish farming. He also urged the people to study the guidelines of the schemes.
