Awareness rally organized under SVEEP in Margherita LAC

TINSUKIA: In wake of the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2021, an awareness rally was organized as part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Programme (SVEEP) in 124-Margherita LAC.

The rally that originated from the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Margherita and culminated at Town High School, Margherita was flagged off jointly by the Returning Officer of 124-Margherita LAC, Samprity Goswami, and Priya Debnath, election icon for the region, who is a multi-disciplinary athletic with various national and international titles attached to her name. All officers, including Samprity Goswami, Tridib Kr. Konwar, Abhijit Gogoi, Siddhartha Sh. Sonowal, Pantra Pratim Patra, (in-charge SVEEP Cell), Gurmeet K. Suri, SDIPRO, Margherita, Dhrubajyoti Barman, SVEEP Nodal Officer and Team Member of SVEEP Cell headed by Javed Ali along with booth-level officers, students of different schools and office staff of the Sub-Divisional Officer took part in the rally and urged the citizens to cast their vote in the upcoming elections to be held on March 27.

Meanwhile, the total Postal Ballots received and verified till date are-AVSC-515 Nos, AVPD-32 Nos, AVCD-Nil, while the Postal Ballots for the Service Voters and Polling Staff received in the facilitation centre are 349 and 48 respectively, according to press release issued by SDIPRO Margherita.
