Golaghat: The one-horned rhino, the vast variety of birds and animals and the lush green landscape of Kaziranga National Park left Director General (DG) of Border Guarding Forces (BGP) Shafeenul Islam feeling refreshed and spellbound. Islam took some time out to visit the national park famous for the one-horned rhino. The Director General also took elephant and jeep safari to enjoy the raw natural beauty of the park in all its grandeur and pure form.

Islam is in Guwahati to attend the 51st Director-General Level Border Coordination Conference 2020.

Speaking about the park DG Islam said, "Very nice nature and it is also pleasing to see that nature has been preserved so pristinely. Especially the one horn rhinos, the way it is preserved that is an example which can be followed by the others."

On being asked about the India-Bangladesh border issue, DG Islam said, "We have one of the largest borders between the two countries (India and Bangladesh) and there are always several issues which we immediately try to solve. We solve all the issues through discussion. There are no unresolved issues left now. The Coordination Conference is kind of ritual that we follow at the DG level. Last time we had the meeting in Dhaka, and this time we are having the meeting here in Guwahati."

He also conveyed New Year greetings to the people of Assam.
