Bangladeshi Cattle Smuggler Along with cattle head apprehended by BSF

Guwahati: Troops of Border Security Force (BSF) of Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Bangladeshi National cattle smuggler along with cattle on 05 May 2019, from bordering areas of West Chamta, District Coochbehar in West Bengal.

Active on a tip-off, a special ambush laid by the BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) West Chamta near International boundary of Indo-Bangladesh border. Alerted troops observed the suspicious movement of some miscreant’s along with cattle towards International Boundary on 05 May 2019 at about 0300hrs, they were challenged. But they did not pay any heed and tried to cross IB towards Bangladesh along with cattle. The alerted troops pursued the smugglers and apprehended one of them before he could cross the International Boundary (IB) along with cattle. Apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Amir Hussain,(35 Yrs), S/o Lt Abdul Hussain, R/o Vill-TulakDulali, PO-Hazigram, PS –Aaditmari, Distt- Lalmunirhat,(Bangladesh). Later, he has been handed over to PSSitaifor further legal action.

BSF troops are working around the Clock to secure the border and prevent trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration. They apprehended the miscreants due to their alertness and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes from the border.
