Bank Mitra ‘loots’ customers at Assam Gramin Vikash Bank

MERAPANI: An allegation of confiscating customer’s money at Ghiladhari Bagan branch of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) by a Bank Mitra has come to light. According to sources, the Bank Mitra has helped customers open bank account with a low amount of money. But he allegedly looted the money of many customers and did not even give the passbooks of the customers. The customers complained against him to the branch manager. They warned that if the Bank Mitra did not hand over their passbooks and refund their money within a week, they would lodge an FIR against him.
