Basanta Utsav celebrated in Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: Like previous years, Sadou Assam Lekhika Samaroh Samiti, Doomdooma Sakha celebrated Basanta Utsav at its venue at Bir Raghav Moran path, Rupaisiding with president Kironmoyee Hazarika Baruah in the chair. In the beginning a wall magazine brought out under the editorship of Prabha Devi was inaugurated by Dr Meena Devi Baruah.

In poem recitation competition, Ranjita Gogoi Baruah and Lakhimi Neog won the first and second prizes respectively while Kakali Baruah and Sangita Deka Baruah jointly won the third prize. In lecture competition, Dipa Dutta Bhajani, Mala Baruah Kakati and Anju Konwar bagged the first, second and third prizes respectively.

Dr Meena Devi Baruah anchored a programme on open questions on folk culture. In the midst of the programme, Dr Aruna Gogoi Baruah, Dr Meena Devi Baruah and Indu Dutta Uzir recited self composed poems.
