Behali Degree College gets Science stream; people rejoice

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The Government of Assam will introduce the Science stream in 16 colleges of the State vide order no. AHE 594/2018/20 dated Dispur, July 31, 2020.

The people of Behali in Biswanath district expressed their happiness as Behali Degree College was also selected to get the Science stream introduced in the college. Behali Degree College was established in 1989 with only Arts stream and the announcement of the introduction of the Science stream has been hailed. At present, around 1,260 students are studying in Arts stream and in the near future, the students will be able to reap the benefits of the multidisciplinary approach of the new National Educational Policy -2020, particularly in selecting subjects from Arts and Science streams as per their choice.

The governing body, the teaching and non-teaching staff and the students' union of Behali Degree College as well as the people of greater Behali area have lauded the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Assam, for this step.
