Bhaona 'Droupadir Bastra Haran & Yudhishthir Rajarshri Jagya' performed at Sootea

JAMUGURIHAT: The women's performances in the roles of Bhim and Duryodhana captivated thousands of spectators at the bhaona performed in the playground of Chatia HSS on Sunday night. Two bhaonas Droupadir Bastra Haran and Yudhishthir Rajarshri Jagya were performed on the auspicious occasion of Lakshmi Puja by the women artistes of the greater Sootea area. Women's bhaona was organised for the first time at Sootea. Women artistes performed the role of both male and female characters. Thousands of spectators attended the bhaona programme. Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika inaugurated the bhaona in presence of a huge gathering. He praised the initiative taken by the organizers.
