UDALGURI: The Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Assam has formed a new executive committee with Bimal Boro as president, Dwijendra Bayan as working president, Kamal Upadhyaya and Kulen Bora as vice-presidents and Ishwar Bimali as general secretary.

The meeting was presided over by Puspadhar Sarma and anchored by Dwijendra Bayan, the president and secretary. Kishor Thakuria of Guwahati briefed the works of the Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Assam and Hemanta Dhing Mazumdar, the national general secretary of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, was the main attraction to the meeting. Majumdar deliberately focused on the upcoming works of the committee. Dr Juri Sarma, the assistant women cell in-charge of the Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Assam among others were also present at the meeting.

During the session, a booklet on Atri Muni’s Yagnakunda, published by Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Assam and written by Folinson Sahu was also released on the occasion. The meeting also proposed to publish another book on Gobinda Mishra and urged Dharanidhar Medhi to write the book.
