Bharatiya Janata Party gears up for 2020 BTC election

UDALGURI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is strengthening its base in the BTC area ahead of the 2020 BTC election. Kishor Upadhyaya, the BJP secretary, visited Udalguri and attended a party meeting. Later talking to media persons, he stressed the need of strengthening the BJP in the region. The party will field candidates in the BTC election and will start a membership drive in every MCLA area in BTC, he said.

Each MCLA area will have a mandal committee and the mandal president will be elected within September 7. The BJP will conduct membership drive in each MCLA area from September 11 to September 20. Each MCLA area will enlist 5,000 members, he added.
