DOOMDOOMA: The Chief Executive Officer of the Tinsukia Zila Parishad, Munindra Bardoloi inaugurated the Assamese Bhogali Mela organized by the Tinsukia district administration and Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Tinsukia branch, on the occasion of Bhogali Bihu.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the president of the Zila Parishad, Rajendra Koiri, District Project Officer, Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Tinsukia, Manjit Gogoi and other officers and employees of the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Tinsukia branch.
Around 18 self-help groups, 6 zonal-level organizations and one producer group from seven development zones of Tinsukia district are participating in the Bhogali Mela which started on Tuesday. The Bhogali Mela will showcase costumes, handicraft, local dishes and pitha-pana produced by various self-help groups.
