Bholanath College starts online classes, conducts awareness campaign

DHUBRI: In view of closure of educational institutions as preventive and precautionary measure against coronavirus, Dhubri Bholanath College started online portal classes, made and developed exclusively for students and teachers, from Monday. Principal of Bholanath College, Dr. Dhruba Chakrabortty informed that besides this, teachers were also using WhatsApp and easyclass for online classes.

“We have taken this decision in consultation with our teaching staff to keep the classes going when there is technology to do so. In this way, students attending online classes will gain and remain updated till the institution remains closed,” Dr Chakrabortty said.

Meanwhile, the college unit of NCC also started door-to-door campaigning in the nearby villages located on the outskirts of Dhubri town and created awareness on coronavirus.

Unit head of Bholanath College NCC, Prof. C.S.Upadhyaya told The Sentinel that a 15-member team of NCC headed by him extensively campaigned door-to-door by distributing leaflets.

“We are giving stress on social distancing and advising people not to go out and attend any public gathering or function and also to follow instructions being issued by Dhubri district administration from time-to-time. We have received positive response from the villagers,” Upadhyaya said.
