Bhutanese national held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Acting on an international input, personnel of BOP Dadgiri, the 6th Bn SSB conducted a special patrolling on Thursday at Hatisar daily market area along Indo Bhutan border.

Sources from SSB said, “At about 2140 hours on that day a suspicious person was noticed in the market area approximately 30 mtrs away from Indo -Bhutan border pillar no. 169/5 in India side. After checking, 180 banned SPM-PRX- PLUS medicines were recovered from one Bhutanese citizen namely Ugyan Wangchuk, 27 years of Sarpang district in Bhutan.”

The apprehended person with seized items has been handed over to Shantipur Police on the same day. The seizure of banned medicines has increased in the area. More than 5 psychotropic banned medicine smugglers have been apprehended by SSB within 2 months.
