Bijoya Sammelan Organized at Durgabi Auditorium, Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Aadya Sristi Kala Mandir Cultural Society (ASKMCS), a Tinsukia-based socio-cultural body organized Bijoya Sammelan in a splendid manner at Durgabi Auditorium here on Thursday evening. Artistes performing a varied programme based on Maa Durga Stuti captivated the audience. The Bijoya Sammelan programme began with the lighting of Diya followed by an opening dance performed by the artistes of ASKMCS.

An impressive solo sitar recital by Chitra Dey on raga Malkosh with Animesh Kalita on tabla received scintillating applause from the audience. The group dance by Nityanjali Dance Academy and solo performances of Reshmi Paul, the head of Nityanjali Dance Academy and Payel Upadhyaya, founder of Payel Dance Academy enthralled the house-packed gathering. Besides another programme, the event also witnessed the colourful and blissful distribution of awards in various categories to 7 best beautiful women who were identified in Durga Puja pandals during puja days.
