Bipul Mech, Junior assistant of Laokhuwa Education Block caught red-handed for accepting bribe

NAGAON: A team from Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Guwahati on Monday arrested Bipul Mech, junior assistant of Laokhuwa Education Block while accepting bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant who is a teacher working under the block for transfer and posting. He was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe near Aditya Sweet, a reputed outlet of sweets in Nagaon town on Monday.

Sources claimed that the arrested junior assistant demanded money for transfer and posting of the complainant teacher a week back. Unwilling to pay the amount, the complainant approached to the office of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption in Guwahati following which the officials from the agency laid a trap today in which the officials of the concerned agency finally got the breakthrough, sources added.
