Biswanath Chariali Anchalik AASU demands relocation of the market

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Biswanath Chariali Anchalik AASU has raised questions over the administration's decision to allow holding the daily market along the busy Biswanath Ghat road that passes through the heart of the town.

In a press release, the student body said that this had led to the risk of mass infection and also traffic congestion on the road. Therefore, they urged the administration to relocate the market to a suitable and safer place. A memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath on Wednesday in this regard in the presence of Bikram Bikash Borah, president of All Biswanath District Students' Union and other leaders.
