Biswanath MLA Pramod Brthakur distributed smartphones to Gaon Burhas

BISWANATH CHARIALI: As many as 37 Gaon Burhas (village headmen) of Biswanath and Sakomatha mouzas under the Biswanath Legislative Assembly Constituency were distributed smartphones on Thursday by Biswanath MLA Pramod Brthakur at a meeting held in the office of Biswanath District Gaonburha Association.

Distributing the phones, MLA Borthakur called upon the Gaon Burhas to keep a constant communication with the government and the public.

Biswanath Revenue Circle Officer Biswajit Saikia, organizing secretary of Sadau Assam Gaonburha Santha Panku Bara, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

A total of 216 village headmen in Biswanath district will be covered phase wise under this scheme. MLA Borthakur also announced that a sum of Rs 2 lakh would be provided for the infrastructure development of the office of Biswanath District Gaon Burha Association.
