MANGALDAI: “BJP is the only political party in India which has chosen two sons of a poor family as the Prime Minister - Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi -and this is the true reflection of the commitment of the BJP towards the countrymen. The Congress who ruled the country since quite a long period can never imagine projecting a person from poor family as the Prime Minister,” said Assam State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass while addressing a poll campaign meeting at Dhula under Mangaldai LAC on Thursday afternoon.

“Earlier, the nation had witnessed a high-level international conspiracy against the BJP’s move to project Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the Prime Minister for the second term and on the eve of the ensuing general election, similar conspiracy has been hatched by anti-Indian circles to prevent Narendra Modi from becoming the Prime Minister for the second term. It is high time and need of the hour to resist such conspiracy and in order to make India a strong nation in the international platform, we must support BJP to project Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister for the second term,” said Das.

Significantly, he also strongly opposed the use of word ‘O Boro’ (non Bodo) as there was no such word in grammar and said that this word had been used only to create division among the peace-loving people of Assam. Describing the AIUDF candidate in Dhubri, Badruddin Ajmal as an encroacher in Dhubri, the BJP State president said that the people of Dhubri would evict the encroacher in this election. Both the legislators, Guru Jyoti Das of Mangaldai and Binanda Kumar Saikia of Sipajhar, BJP district president Nilima Devi and secretary Sewali Goswami Kalita also attended the rally. Significantly, several youths belonging to the religious minority community of the area joined the BJP on Thursday.
