DIGBOI: Pulok Gohain, the Assam State BJP vice-president, on Thursday during a mass party meeting held at Tingari in Digboi, took a dig at the Congress and said that unlike the Congress, the BJP stood for the development and integration of the nation as a whole. "The Congress usurped the government funds during their reign and was busy in vote bank politics which made people to embrace the BJP," he said. Gohain, along with Digboi MLA Suren Phukan, jointly addressed the party meeting in Digboi. Meanwhile, the Digboi MLA is reportedly unsure about his candidature for the 2021 assembly election. He claimed that he was the only MLA to have submitted the quarterly progress report of his constituency to the Chief Minister.
