BJP Tinsukia Zila Parishad member Sanjay Das issues apology

TINSUKIA: Sanjay Das, a BJP member of Tinsukia Zila Parishad under Guijan Panchayat, has apologized to Tinsukia Regional Students’ Union (AASU) for his derogatory remark against Lurin Jyoti Gogoi, general secretary of AASU, in his Facebook page.

Expressing regret, Sanjay Das assured in written apology that he would never make any adverse comment against the student body in the future. The AASU earlier reacted very sharply over the Facebook post where Das branded Lurin Gogoi as a cattle lifter and an agent of Congress following which AASU lodged an FIR against Sanjay Das on Friday.
