BJP to contact 50 lakh people in 126 constituencies from June 16: Ranjeet Dass

KOKRAJHAR: With the objective of reaching out to the public and highlighting the successful completion of one year of the Narendra Modi-led government in Delhi , the Assam State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will kick-start 'Samporkho Stapon Abhijan' from June 16 next.

Talking to media persons at the party office in Kokrajhar, Assam BJP president Ranjeet Dass said the party would reach out to 50 lakh people in 126 constituencies across the State starting from June 16.

The Assam BJP president lauded the Narendra Modi government saying that the Jan Dhan Yojana had benefitted over a crore women in the State. Likewise, the Ujjwala Yojana has also benefited over 55 lakh women. He also said that the State Government under the leadership of Sarbananda Sonowal had come up with various schemes for the development and uplift of the people, including women SHGs, widows and the physically challenged in the last four years. On the BTC election, Dass said the BJP too wanted the election to be held at the earliest but it was up to the Election Commissioner and the State Government to decide depending on conducive atmosphere and situation keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed confidence that the party would form the government in BTC.
