‘BJP Trying to Wipe Away Corruption’: Sarbananda Sonowal

Boko: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal started election rallies ahead of the panchayat poll in South Kamrup on Thursday. The rallies started from Samaria under Boko constituency, Gobardhan in Chaygaon constituency and Sonowal concluded his campaign with an election meeting at Uparhali in Palashbari constituency. He spoke about a bamboo bridge about 500-foot long over Jaljali River between Nagarbera to Tupamri under Boko constituency. He promised that the bridge would be converted into RCC bridge soon.

At Uporhali in Palashbari constituency, the Chief Minister said that the Palashbari constituency had developed into an industrial site due to the efforts of MLA Pranab Kalita. He also added that BJP government tried to make a corruption-free Assam. In Chaygaon constituency, Sonowal said that the Congress government thrived on corruption but the BJP government was trying to wipe away corruption. He urged people to cast their votes for the BJP in the upcoming panchayat election.
