KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Mancha (BJSM) congratulated Sanjib Narzary for being elevated as Additional Director General of Police (ADIG), Rajasthan.

The president of the BJSM, Janaklal Basumatary said that Sanjib Narzary, IPS, 1996 batch of Rajasthan cadre, had been elevated as Additional Director General of Police of Rajasthan as a New Year gift on January 1, 2021. He said that it was a proud moment for the people of Assam, especially the BTC, that a student from vernacular medium could have reached such a position.

The first Boro medium student in Devnagri script from a beautiful village named Bhowlaguri, near Gossaigaon town of Kokrajhar district, Sanjib Narzary had a brilliant academic journey through village primary school, Gossaigaon Higher Secondary School, Cotton College for graduation and Delhi University for Masters in MSW. He was selected for the Reserve Bank of India grade-I officer and IPS at the same time.

He preferred IPS and started his distinguished career in police service, serving as Superintendent of Police in seven important districts of Rajasthan. He earned many appreciation letters for efficient policing of the districts and won the President's Medal for meritorious service while he was DIG. He held several important charges as DIG and held important ranges as IGP. For his integrity he was always entrusted with staff recruitment work. He will be adding many more feathers to his cap in the days to come.
